Betty Evelyn Millsap

Betty Evelyn Millsap, 90, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2022. She was born on February 15, 1932, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Carl and Allcie (Smith) Cathey. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Kenneth Cathey & Merl Cathey, and her sister Ruby Hampton.

Betty is survived by her four children: Billy Millsap in Adair, OK, Evelyn Warren (Greg) in Tulsa, OK, Shirley Hennessey in Tulsa, OK and Gene Millsap (Sonja McDonald) in Reno, Nevada. She is also survived by her sisters, Rita June Ceritelli in Corinth, TX and Margaret Louise Cathey in Corinth, TX, and her brother, David Cathey in Lewisburg, KY.

Betty was a loving grandmother to Aleena Hauser, Marsha Hennessey, Shauna Hennessey-Dungan, Meghan Warren, Regina Briggs, and Gene Alan Millsap. She was also a great-grandmother to Kyla Hennessey, Sierra Davie, Lauren McDermott, Samantha McMurray, Melody McMurray, Isabelle McMurray, Tyler Hauser, Connor James Millsap, and Jackson Briggs as well as a great-great-grandmother to Irelynn Lenard and Ainsleigh Hennessey.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 24, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church in McAlester, Oklahoma.

Betty will be remembered for her kind heart and her love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
