Charlene Zeller was born at her grandmother’s house in Hominy, Oklahoma in 1935. She attended Hominy High School, graduated in 1954, and continued her education at Oklahoma State University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1958 and interned at St John’s hospital in Tulsa until 1959, when she passed the National Registry. In 1960 she began her career at Glass Nelson Clinic and became Director of Laboratories before retiring in 1983â¦only to be coaxed out of retirement by St. John Medical Center when they hired her as laboratory inspector for an additional 12 years. She met her devoted husband, Arnold Zeller, in 1964; they married six months later on August 1st. They were blessed with 52 years of marriage, and their love endures still. Charlene is survive by her beloved husband and their children: Tracy (Lori) Zeller, and Terri (Travis) Wallace; as well as five much-loved grandchildren: Hannah and Emily Zeller, and Makenna, Delaney, and Caden Wallace. Charlene went to be with her Lord and Savior on Christmas Eve. She was preceded in death by her son, David Ray Zeller; her grandmother, Gertrude May (McConnell) Gravitt; her parents, Leo Westbrook and Edna (Adams) Westbrook; her brothers, Max Westbrook and Roy Westbrook; and her sister, Gay (Westbrook) Carter. Her selflessness, her love of life, her infectious laughter, her sense of humor, her unfailing encouragement, her unquestioning loyalty, and her unwavering grace will be greatly missedâ¦but will live on in the lives of all she touched. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ranch Acres Baptist Church, 3143 S. Jamestown, Tulsa, Oklahoma, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30th. Pastor Dan Doak to officiate.
