Charles Ray Linder

Charles Ray Linder Charles, Ray Linder, "Chuck" " Hawk" passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018, at his home in Fairfax, OK, with family at his side. Chuck was born to Enoch Linder and Willis Gann-Linder, in San Mateo, California, March 22, 1956. He moved to Fairfax Ok in 1965 with his family where he continued his education in Fairfax Ok graduating in 1974. He was active in school sports of football and baseball. He also participated in Oklahoma Junior Rodeo, as a bull rider. At a young age he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad, he became a skilled hunter and fisherman, never returning home empty-handed. Chuck joined the Marines after high school and served during the Vietnam War. While in service he attained Marksmen. Upon his discharge from the Marines, he continued to improve his marksmanship skills, with black powder and Bowhunting; he was also a fantastic fisherman. He had many trophy antlers and photo of his successes. He works occasionally as a guide for Greater Outdoor Oklahoma. He drove long haul, 18-wheeler driver for several years. Chuck "Hawk" was an avid Harley rider, riding to Sturgis on three occasions and winning various trophies with his show bike. He used his talent as a chef to help elderly people who loved eating, fish and anything Cajun style.He taught himself to play the guitar, drums, and harmonica; he enjoyed sharing with others what he had learned. He had a willingness to help others and had adventures to talk about, which usually brought about laughter. His nieces and nephews loved him, as one recently recounted saying, " I only have good memories of Uncle Chuck and he always made us laugh." Chuck leaves behind his Mother, Willis Linder-Hood, sister Marty Haub and brothers, Herman Linder, and Leroy Bradsher. Also many Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. His Father, Enoch Linder and brothers Sam Linder, Jerry Linder and Royce Bradsher preceded Charles in death. A memorial service for Charles will be held at The First Assembly of God church, April 14th at 1 pm Offer CondolencePrint
