Danny George Patterson

Danny George Patterson was born November 4th, 1947 in West Plains, MO to George and Myrtle Patterson. He passed away on January 24th, 2025, at age 77. Danny grew up in Willow Springs, MO and joined the Navy at age 18. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served as a Navy Corpsman and earned a Purple Heart. 

Danny married Debbie on February 7th, 1970, and he passed just 2 weeks prior to their 55th wedding anniversary. He attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and received his certificate in Radiologic Technology in 1974 to become a certified X-Ray Technician. While at Vanderbilt, he was awarded The Mallinckrodt Award for outstanding achievement. In 1976, he received his Associate in Science degree from Aquinas Junior College and then received his certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Baptist Memorial Hospital in 1978. Danny worked as an X-Ray/Nuclear Medicine Technician for 44 years. He worked in a variety of locations, including Tennessee, Florida, Saudi Arabia, Nevada, Texas, Hawaii, and Kansas. During his long career, he continued to pursue education and was also trained in CT and PET scans. Danny officially retired while working at the McPherson Center for Health in McPherson, KS in 2016 and he and Debbie moved to Broken Arrow, OK. 

Danny is survived by his wife, Deborah Patterson of Broken Arrow, OK; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason Patterson and Audrey Parker of Blountville, TN; his daughter and son-in-law, Joy and Daniel Bucklin of Broken Arrow, OK; and his grandchildren- Erika Patterson, EllyAnna and Easton Parker, and June Bucklin. 

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, George and Myrtle Patterson of Willow Springs, MO and his brother, Dr. John Patterson of Columbia, MO.
