He married Alberta on May 16, 1981 at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. H.C. was a Pipefitter for the Henry J. Kaiser Company and his job took him and his family to many places to work construction around the country. After construction business waned, he moved his family back to Oglesby in 1986 and they have resided there ever since. He worked for the Washington County Road Department until he retired in 1996. H.C. was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. He was a generous, witty, dedicated individual who loved his wife and family and was devoted to them. H.C. was a board member of the Oglesby Volunteer Fire Department for many years and served as President of the Ochelata Sportsman's Club as well. H.C. belonged to a group called the Ochelata Life Christian International Association, better known as the "Liars Club". They worked around the Ochelata, Oglesby area helping people in need and just lending a helping hand. You could find them on most days sitting around the table at the Foster's grocery store, drinking coffee, swapping stories, laughing, and having a good time. He was loved by everybody for his wit, funny jokes, contagious laugh and wonderful hugs. He was a devoted husband who never let a day go by that he didn't tell Alberta how much he loved her and appreciated her. To say he will be missed by his family and friends is an understatement. He loved Jesus and is now in Heaven with Him and his family who preceded him in death. A memorial service for H.C. will be held at Happy Hill Church, 39758 W 3100 Rd.
