John Dudley Whitaker

August 10, 1961 — June 2, 2024

In Loving Memory of John Dudley Whitaker, "Poppy."

John passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud Poppy, and a caring brother and son whose presence lit up the lives of all who knew him.

A passionate sports enthusiast, John had a special place in his heart for football, fly fishing, and golf. Whether cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners from the sidelines, casting a line in Yellowstone National Park, or perfecting his swing on the golf course, he embraced every moment with passion and enthusiasm.

But, perhaps, what truly defined John was his unparalleled sense of humor. Outrageously funny and quick-witted, he had a knack for bringing smiles to the faces of everyone around him. His laughter was infectious, and his jokes could light up even the darkest of days.

Johns lively spirit and unwavering support touched the lives of many lifelong friends and colleagues. John's integrity, passion, and tireless work ethic set him apart, earning the respect and admiration of coworkers and clients.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna, his children, Ashley and Jeff Nobile, Stephanie and Adam Willis, Logan Moore, Caleb Whitaker, and Zachary Whitaker, his three grandchildren Kinley Nobile, Jackson Willis, and Jameson Moore, his dear sisters and brothers-in-law; Katie and Doyle Jackson and their children Jake and Chandler, Karen and Tim Hightshoe and their children Lindsey and Hannah along with many other extended family members and friends, who will miss him dearly.

John is preceded in death by his loving parents, Ronnie and Joy Whitaker.

Though John may no longer be with us in body, his spirit will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind. May his memory be a blessing, and may we find solace in the joy and laughter he brought into our lives.

Forever our "sweet Poppy.”
