Marjorie E Clark

September 16, 1964 — February 27, 2022

Marjorie “Marjie” Elizabeth Clark went to be with our Heavenly Father February 27th, 2022. She was greeted by her parents, Tom and Nancy Clark, and many fur babies.

Marjie was born September 16th, 1964 in Carthage, IL. She spent her childhood there. Her summers were spent in the corn fields and many hours were spent at the local swimming pool. Swimming remained a constant throughout her life, teaching water aerobics and swimming with her dogs.

She was a friend to many throughout her life. Remaining in contact with childhood friends and easily acquiring new friends in Texas, Canada, and Oklahoma. Marjie was a kind, giving soul. Always wanting to do for others. There was never anything she wouldn’t do for her family, friends or coworkers.

Her career was an extension of her giving nature, a civil servant. She gave 37 years to the Federal government. Most of her career was with the US Customs service which later became US Customs and Border Protection after 9/11. In 1987, Marjie joined the U.S. Customs Service in Dallas, TX as an Entry Aid Technician. In 1988 became a U.S. Customs Inspector at DFW International Airport. While at Dallas, she promoted to a Senior Inspector and Supervisory U.S. Customs Officer. In 2009, she accepted the Port Director position in Oklahoma City, OK where she retired in December 2020.

Her family and friends share in the pride she took in her devoted service to our country.

She leaves behind her husband Dean Matheson and dog Alice of Mustang; brother Eric Clark and wife Theresa of IL, brother Kenny Clark and wife Judy of IA; 3 nieces and 1 nephew and numerous friends.

Memorial donations may be made to any animal rescue in her honor.

Graveside services will be at Whisler Cemetery, Edmond, OK on March 12th, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
