Nancy Sue Burris

NANCY SUE BURRIS was born on September 21 st , 1933 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Mary Ellen Zieman (nee` Woods) and Grant Pickens. She was preceded in death by her little sister Delores Rae, her mother, father, step-father Thomas C. Zieman Sr., and sister-in-law Kimie Zieman. She leaves behind her husband of 65 years Donald R. Burris and brothers Thomas C. Zieman Jr. and his wife Linda, and Robert C. Zieman; children Rick A. Burris and his wife Yolanda Guillen-Burris, Delores R. (Lori) Vanscoy and her husband Douglas, and Adam W. Burris and his wife Lisa. She is survived by grandchildren Michael R. Vanscoy and wife Kathi, Jenifer S. Cochran and husband C. Ryan, Patricia R. Lee and husband Jackie Duane , Luke Burris, Jessie Burris, and great-grandchildren; Dakota Vanscoy, Nathan Cochran and wife Abigail, Mackenzie Martin-Lee, Madison Vanscoy, and Emily Lee. After graduating from Wewoka Senior High Nancy Sue held many jobs through her life. From ticket taker at the local movie theater in Wewoka, Oklahoma to being part of the steno pool at the FBI in Washington D.C. From phone operator at Ma Bell to typesetter for the local paper in Cody, Wyoming. From executive secretary and office manager deluxe to many CEO's from the oil industry to advertising to school secretary at Carnegie Elementary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. First and foremost, she was a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother extraordinaire.
