Richard Beckett Mahan, age 70, passed away on January 23rd, 2018. He was born in Tulsa, to Norman and Maureen Mahan on December 8, 1947. He graduated from Cascia Hall High School in 1966 and received his Bachelors of Science from the College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1970. Rick's passion in life besides his family was his career as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor working with adolescents and adults. He touched many lives of those who struggled with addiction. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike and his wife Angie, and sister, Beth. He is survived by his sons Josh and Matt Mahan (Amy), his beloved grandsons Brayden, Cameron, and Jakob Mahan and his "Queen" granddaughter, Grace Mahan. In addition, he is survived by his younger sister, Mary Kevin McNamara(Steve). He is also survived by nephews Steve McNamara, Jr.(Ashley), Sean Mahan(Brooke), Dr. Kevin McNamara, and Patrick McNamara; nieces Lisa Mahan Pilcher and Libby McNamara. In addition, he is survived by many great-nephews and a great-niece. Rick is also survived by countless lifelong friends who were as close and meaningful to him as his family. He loved his fellowship through Bill W. more than life. Rick's service will be on Saturday, February 3rd, 11:00 am at the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church.
