Ruth Mae Henderson

   On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, Ruth Mae Henderson passed from this life to the next at her home in Norman, Oklahoma. She was 72.

   Ruth Mae Henderson was born on January 18, 1951, to William Robert Oliver, Jr. and Golda Mae Oliver in Miami, Oklahoma. A year after graduating from Miami High School, Ruth married Gary Henderson on August 7, 1970. In addition to being a wife and mother, Ruth was a Purchasing and Supply Agent for the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City for 42 years. However, the title she was most proud of was given to her in December 2015 when she became “Grammy.”

   Ruth Mae was preceded in death by her parents, William and Golda Oliver, and her brother Rex Oliver. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Gary Henderson, sister Lynn Beth and husband Kaveh Tabatabaee; two sons Jeffrey Henderson and Jordan Henderson and his wife Courtney; sister-in-law Sherry Henderson; grandsons Deacon and Baker Henderson; nephews David Tabatabaee and wife Brianne, and Tommy Malone; niece Amy Oliver, and several great nieces and nephews.

   Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Noble, Oklahoma. Rev. Jordan Henderson will officiate.
