Shirley Carithers

Shirley Anne Carithers died at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in South Oklahoma City on 9/14/2020 at the age of 83 years. Shirley is survived by her husband David Carithers of 54 years. Daughters Debbie Eades and husband Glen of Yukon, Vickie Langley and husband "Steve" (Troy) of Newalla, Patty Rycroft and husband Robert of Piedmont, Steve Carithers of Mustang, Terri Miller and husband David of Oklahoma City. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 16 step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 24 step grandchildren, and one great- great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Weigl, father Edward Lynch, and step father John Weigl. Also by two sisters Marie Homewood, Margie Weigl, three brothers, James Lynch, David Lynch, John Weigl, and son David McIntyre. Shirley was born on 7/29/1937 in Cashion, Oklahoma to Edward Lynch and Dorothy Redifer. She married David Carithers the love of her life on 6/8/1966. Her children remember her as a unique and loving mother who challenged them to be happy and lead a productive life. Some of the jobs Shirley held during her life included being a beauty operator, telephone operator for SW Bell, a lead operator for Altec, a dispatcher for Butler Brothers Trucking, co-business owner of Dave Carithers Trucking. She also loved to anonymously contribute to charities. Shirley loved life and all of her family. And she will be deeply missed by many. Offer CondolencePrint
